Alluvion Health Foundation Hosts Sensory Santa Event
Sunday, December 4th, 2022, the Alluvion Health Foundation hosted the inaugural Sensory Santa event...
This January, Alluvion Health is working to ensure that all children in the Great Falls area will be working to ensure every student in Great Falls can stay warm this winter. Alluvion Health is partnering with Great Falls Public Schools to run a coat drive through January.
Tiffany Zarling, a school-based care coordinator at Alluvion Health's school-based clinics, noted that she sees many children who do not have proper winter gear in her work. "I've noticed many kiddos coming into schools without coats in the dead of winter. As temperatures drop for the winter, I get worried about these children getting to and from school safely." All coats collected through the coat drive will be donated to Great Falls Public Schools students.
Ryan Hart, the Student Services Coordinator for Great Falls Public Schools, has been helping manage the coat drive on the school's end. "We gave a goal of what each school needed, and we'll distribute the coats to the schools as needed," he said. The coats will be distributed to elementary and middle schools throughout Great Falls. Alluvion and Great Falls Public Schools hope to collect more than 130 coats to fill the needs of these schools. The requested sizes are shown below.
Alluvion Health will be collecting coats throughout January. The need varies from school to school, and all new or gently used coats will be accepted, though children's sizes are heavily preferred. Donations can be dropped off at the Alluvion Health Pharmacy at 105 6th St N and the Alluvion Health Foundation office at 111 5th St N.
